The provisions of Sections 134 and 135 of the Pradeshiya Sabha Act No. 15 of 1987 are included.
Tax revenue will be collected under the 2024 assessment.
Objections to the assessment assessment should be submitted to the office within one month from the date of delivery of the property assessment notice and objections submitted after the relevant period or without stating the reasons or illegally will not be considered. Even if objections have been submitted, the tax should be paid for the relevant period and otherwise, regardless of the objections, fines will be levied.
If the tax is paid before 31st January for the year mentioned in the property assessment notice, the right to discount benefits will be given at 10% and if the amount of the quarter is paid within the first month of that quarter, the right to discount benefits will be given at 5%. (If January 31st is a public holiday, the next day of payment will be valid.)
When payment is made after the due date, an additional warrant fee of 15% will be charged for vacant lands and residential properties and 20% for other properties.
Cheques should be made payable to the Secretary, Matale Pradeshiya Sabha.
Payment facilities are provided through the online assessment system and payments can be made at the Pradeshiya Sabha office from 8.30 am to 3.00 pm on weekdays except Saturdays/Sundays which are public holidays.
Within 4 weeks of the change of ownership of the property, a summary application for the deeds obtained from this Pradeshiya Sabha should be submitted and the new ownership should be documented.

The total number of stalls owned by the Matale Pradeshiya Sabha – 15.
A surcharge of 10% of the relevant monthly rent will be charged for the stall rent paid after the 10th of each month.

Fees for non-acquisition certificates, supplier registration fees, environmental permit inspection fees, street lighting, garbage charges, crematorium fees, ash deposit chamber fees, building plan inspection fees, compliance certificate issuance fees, water bowser revenue, Nena Piyasa and library membership fees fall under this revenue classification.
Valuables such as assessment and acreage tax surcharges, court fines, environmental fines, industrial delay fees, water connection reconnection fees and fines, rent delay fees, library delay fees fall under this revenue classification.
Interest income from fixed deposits, interest income from employee loans given to staff, sales of forms and forms, stamp duty, income from the sale of compost fertilizer and containers, water fee income, income from the sale of old newspapers and magazines fall under this income classification.
Grants received from various ministries fall under this income classification.
Complete and accept the application form for obtaining vehicle services from the applicant
